Street Child is currently recruiting a Skills Development & Livelihoods Manager to support the implementation of a UNICEF-funded digital learning programme across Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Gaza, and Maputo provinces. Furthermore, the programme will run from May 2026 to August 2027 and aims to connect digital learning with employment and livelihood opportunities for young people.
🌍 About Street Child
Street Child is an international humanitarian organization committed to ensuring that every child has access to education and protection. Since 2019, the organization has supported over 141,000 children and thousands of caregivers in Mozambique, particularly in crisis-affected areas such as Cabo Delgado.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of digital skills development through the Maza platform;
- Support Digital Learning Coaches in delivering youth-focused learning pathways;
- Design and oversee learning-to-earning pathways for youth employment and entrepreneurship;
- Facilitate internships, apprenticeships, and job placement opportunities;
- Build and maintain relationships with private sector partners and employers;
- Oversee entrepreneurship support programmes, including business coaching and start-up kits;
- Monitor programme quality, performance, and livelihoods outcomes;
- Coordinate with consortium partners, including MozYouth Foundation, and government stakeholders.
✅ Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Education, Economics, Development Studies, Business, or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in youth skills development, employability, or livelihoods programmes;
- Experience designing and implementing TVET, entrepreneurship, or youth skills programmes;
- Experience working with private sector partners and employer networks;
- Strong programme management, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Ability to manage multiple activities across different locations;
- Fluency in Portuguese.
⭐ Desirable Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in livelihoods, TVET, or related field;
- Experience with digital or blended learning platforms;
- Experience in humanitarian or low-resource settings;
- Experience supporting youth entrepreneurship or start-up initiatives;
- Strong facilitation and training skills.
